Biography:
Arindam Saha is a quantum physicist and completed his PhD at the Australian National University, specialising in the automation of quantum hardware through machine learning. His research focuses on developing AI systems that learn the intrinsic dynamics of physical devices, applying reinforcement learning and generative world models to free-space optical, cold atom experiments and solid-state quantum systems. With extensive hands-on experience in building and operating quantum hardware, alongside a deep fluency in modern ML methodology, his work addresses a central challenge in scaling quantum technology: enabling devices to calibrate and control themselves intelligently. His broader research vision centres on transferable physical world models that generalise across distinct quantum platforms.
