Biography:
Bayan Kurbanova is a PhD candidate in Physics (2023–2028) at Nazarbayev University, Kazakhstan, where she also serves as a Research Assistant. Her research focuses on thermo-mechanical performance and phonon-mediated thermal transport in nanostructured semiconductors and polymer nanocomposites, employing Raman spectroscopy, thermo-reflectance techniques, Brillouin light scattering and COMSOL Multiphysics. She holds a Master’s degree in Nucelar from NRNU MEPhI and a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Technology from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
